***11/06/08 Posted the "Young Bloods" story from CITY Magazine, it's now in the press section.

***11/02/08 I'm going to have a portfolio of paintings and an interview with Ana Finel Honigman come out in the next issues of FUTURECLAW. In case you don't know this mag, check it out, it's pretty incredible.

***08/08/08 Other than being enamored with this numeric date of successive 08s, I've uploaded my favorite Barnett Newman essay THE PLASMIC IMAGE as a pdf (give it a second to load). This is very good reading.

***08/08/08 I'm in a group show at Asia Song Society (A.S.S.) called "I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl." It opens Saturday.

***07/22/08 These are a little overdue, but I'm on City Magazine's Website (yes my lovely Dana is the new photo editor, so proud of her!) and I'm also on this fashion blog my friend Abby writes.

***07/07/08 I just found that I'm on some Swedish blog... I'm not exactly sure what it says, but google translation says "The artist who made this painting is called Kadar Brock and is incredibly clever. I love the art!"

***06/22/08 Site's been updated more. Added istallation images to Heaven is a Place On Earth's exhibition page... added some picks to the light warriors intropage, as well as updated backgrounds on all pages. Also I'm posting video of a ritual I did at Buia while my show was up. It was a secret.

***06/21/08 I'm in a group show called COVER VERSION curated by the wonderful Timothy Marvell Hull at Taylor DeCordoba Gallery in Los Angeles, it runs from June 28th through August 10th. There's already a little press for it here and here.

***05/30/08 HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH is a "Weekend Pick" on ARTINFO.COM. I got to review/recommend five shows for this write up as well, so witness my skills of the writer/critic!

***05/30/08 I'm listening to Jens Lekman, he's wonderful. I've been reading, in no particular order: parts of Barnett Newman interviews (I have that hard to find collection of all his writings), Kasimir Malevich's treatise on Suprematism, and Delueze and Guitari's KAKFA book; all of which are inspiring me to further hash out what it is I'm making, why I make it, and what I hope it's about. Conversations will be posted in the coming weeks.

***05/17/08 After I came home tonight... well actually I just went right to my studio instead of going home. I did one of those middle of the night make paintings things. Painting just feels so good. I was thinking of meaningful things to say about it, about why painting enlivens me, releases tension, is cathartic, and I distilled it to this: Painting contradicts the inevitable impermanence of my life. I guess it's the closest thing to eternity (or immortality) I've got.

***05/16/08 So HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH is on a few blogs. Nancy Smith put some pics up on ARTLOVERS, including a great pic of me and homie Kenny Scharf. A pompous sounding guy called my paintings "prim"(?) on a wordpress blog. A rad blog DELICIOUS GHOST has a post with a bunch of my paintings. ARTCAL has my show as a "pick," which is very cool. And last but not least cool-ass Katy Hamer put something up on her blog. Also, my show was extended through June 7th, so there's one more week of chances to see my paintings.

***05/15/08 It's my mom's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! My mom is fucking awesome.

***05/08/08 I'm on a flight to LA for Koh's opening at Peres. Virgin atlantic is nice. Having a row of seats to myself is nicer. The sunshine and swimming on the roof of the Standard downtown is nicest.

***04/11/08 FINALLY!!! Interview with Matt Jones has been edited, and posted. I'm not particularly video saavy, and iMovie is awful... but we're awesome.

***04/03/08 New main page and works page backgrounds. Updated sculpture page and added new images. Gonna start packing up everything for my show this weekend, so I can clear some space and start some new paintings.

***02/22/08 Dana and I love Toronto. It's really a great city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Drake Hotel. The food was amazing and we made a number of new friends. Good times.

***01/24/08 oh yeah, and everything shipped out for Toronto show. It's called You Only Live Once. The main page image is what I'm using for the invitation. I'll be up in Toronto from February 20th to 23rd. Opening is on February 22nd, 6-9PM
